应许比律法优越，因为

1. 神的应许 之约既已立定，就不能废弃(15 节)
2. 神应许之约的中心乃是基督(16 节)
3. 神应许之约是在颁佈 律法以先，故后约不能毁弃前约(17 节)
4. 神赐给产业是凭应许，不是凭律法(18 节)
5. 律法是为 过犯添上的，且是藉天使经中保之手设立的(19~20 节)
6. 律法把众人圈在罪里，是为应许之约效力 (21~22 节)
